I'm also grateful that it didn't sweep or near sweep in wins and that the Academy spread the love. After the 14 nominations, there was a real possibility that it would tie the record for most Oscars won and end up in the "11 Oscar Wins Club", or even beat the record, and I didn't (personally) want it to.

Exact opposite here.  I thought it was just bland.  It basically consisted of him having a conversation with Kevin that I didn't really find to be all that compelling.  It also lacked Naomie Harris who i thought was carrying the film and was fantastic.
