No X-Men movie have ever hit 3 multiplier. With 90 mill im saying 250 mill is max..

Anything over 250M or Winter Soldier would be insane. You have to remember that there was almost zero buzz for this before that first trailer dropped and exploded just 5 months back or so.

 The 20th Century Fox/Marvel Wolverine threequel collected an estimated $31.2M in its second day of release, down a low 6% from Friday’s $33.1M. This translates into an $85.2M opening, which if that figure holds into the morning, will make the Hugh Jackman movie the fifth best opening for an R-Rated movie ahead of Fifty Shades of Grey ($85.1M) and Passion of the Christ ($83.8M).

 

Universal/Blumhouse’s Get Out also swelled on Saturday with a 47% gain over Friday for $11.75M and second weekend take of $27.7M, now poised to dip an astounding -17% for a 10-day running total of $77.6M.

Lionsgate/Summit’s faith-based movie The Shack based on the bestselling William P. Young novel also saw gains in its second day of release of +14% or $6.25M putting its three-day opening at $16.3M in third.

Open Road’s Before I Fall, based on the YA novel by Lauren Oliver, was +22% from its opening day for $1.95M-$2.1M putting it on pace for a $4.8M-$4.9M opening.

I know the X-Men movies are front loaded, but being that this one is drastically different from the other movies I'm not ruling it out at this moment.  I think its got an excellent 10% chance of doing it.

He's said that he doesn't plan on doing any franchise movies and wants to make more social horror movies. Which makes me have a ton of respect for him.

Before I fall was decent, not going to remember the movie itself in a month but the lessons it conveys are pretty damn important and the performances are good. Story is told well too.

 

 

6/10. Deserves better than its getting at the box office.

Before I Fall is fine. I was wondering at the beginning why I should care about the characters until I realised that was the point. 

 

I did a Before I Fall/Logan double yesterday.
