$49M global weekend. Assuming it's making about 30% of its weekend gross on weekdays (based on what it made last week), it will need 44% drops from now on to reach $2B. Not impossible but with China likely to drop much more than 44% from now on, other countries will have to make up for it.

The weekend number may still increase with actuals (last weekend OS went up by a significant amount).

 

2B is going to be very close.

Nah, it won’t do just around 60 million more , cause I expect it to be substantially higher with actuals, os+China+u.s . It will be between 1.990-2.010 in the end.

 

We are at a point where every dollar matters and even small weekday and weekend grosses outside of the U.S will prove to be very significant.

I hope you’re right. I like being pessimistic so that i don’t get disappointed.  Really rooting for 2 billion. Sucks it won’t beat TFA though!  Oh well

It has about 20m in China and about 40m in Dom to go which will take the total to 1.965b.

 

If China gets an extension then it may add another 5 million there. It could do better Dom than 660 that I am projecting and add another 5-10m there. This takes the total to 1.98b. This means that OS has to add about 20m more after a 14.5m weekend. 

 

It is still possible to get to 2 billion but it will be very close. Hopefully the actuals come in much higher tomorrow

1.990 would be super annoying. Since Disney really wants AWIT's 100M to happen, give AIW a 2B push cause fans actually care about it (while no one cares about AWIT crossing 100M not even Oprah).

Just saw that for DOM, Disney has projected 13.2% drop for Sun. AoU, CW and GotG2 all dropped 3-4%. So there will be at least $0.5m increase from DOM. WW weekend should cross $50M after actuals.

 

Next weekend is pretty empty. If DOM can do 10M+, then it will finish with 670M.

 

China Sunday drop is also encouraging.

Weird to say, but what holds back the OS total is Latin America. In local currencies, IW handily beat TA and established record grosses across the region; yet in dollars, the total is not that far from what TA ended with in 2012.

with china -22% today, thanks to getting shows back from Lolo, it added 500k extra today, which in turn bumps the midweek $1m more, and another $2m for the rest of the run.  Looking close to $360m w/o an extention. I say 90% on getting an extension and adding another  $5m with help from the holiday
