The most anticipated movie of Summer and it can't crack 100m ow. RIP theaters.

DUNKIRK will win the summer. Nobody believes me. People laugh at me when I say $200 million OW. But I have faith that DUNKIRK is the event movie of the summer.

Not really. Not saying she isn't pretty (she is), she just has that appearance. It's more the glazed over look in her eyes then anything.

It's not meant to be a jab at her.

Saying someone looks like a "ventriloquist dummy" is quite rude, even if you didn't intend it. :)

The films may have been divisive but none of them have and Negative audience score.

The film is preforming right where it should be which Is why WB was  cautious with the Budget.

You don't spend less than 150mil on a film and expect 700+WW.

The company has kept their own expectations down when they themselves announced 65mil o.w .

1) I don't really lend as much weight to the audience scores, since they can be propped up by fanboys online.

2) It's really hard to get a mixed/negative audience score, but glancing over at the DCEU's RT profile, BvS and SS were a few % points away from being mixed. Compare that to MCU, where the audience scores were consistently higher, high 70s-low 90s

(not trying to start a DC v Marvel flamewar, just using it as a point of comparison)

3) BvS had abysmal legs, even for a CBM. SS had a steep 2nd weekend drop. Bad WoM and reputation had to be the main factor leading to that.

Think GOTG2, Spiderman or WW wins the summer.

I think people are overestimating Despicable Me 3 here again. Maybe I'm way off though.

@God Emperor Telehas got to go.

I was appalled at first with that username, but then looking at his thick skin in the portrait provided by @aabattery, I'm no longer surprised.

I'm protesting the tyranny on principle.

Sorry guys.

I am not good with the mulitplier thing so I'll ask my question in another way ...

What is considered a great multiplier these days for a superhero movie ?

Over 2,5-2,6 ?

2,8 ?

3 ?

I'm wondering how much Alien Covfefe will make this weekend. Probably around 3.5-4M. It is looking more and more likely that it won't hit a 2X multiplier. Audiences just outright rejected the movie.

Buncha casuals, I tell ya!

I had it doing a 58% drop this weekend. The weekdays weren't bad enough to warrant a drop that's 65%+ IMO

In the 2010s:

Ant-Man

TDKR

TASM (but it released on a tuesday)

Captain America The Winter Soldier

X-Men First Class

Wolverine

Logan

GOTG (best with 3.6)

GOTG 2 will when it ends it's run.

It dropped 58% on Thursday, with a lower Friday jump thanks to the theater loss, I can see a 65% drop this weekend.

I'm alone in my Dunkirk prediction. It's okay. When the weekend comes, I will be avenged. Or not.

Right, I can see how that could be seen as a roast/burn or whatever but it wasn't intended as that. I've never liked dolls/dummys and the way her eyes shift in both of those gifs while staying wide open kind of creep me out due to the bold black eyeliner that she's wearing that highlight them.

Wasn't meant to be an insult to her looks.

I'd say anything over a 2.5 is good and anything over a 2.9 is great.  Something like that.
