I think we gonna have some Michael Jordan type numbers.  Maybe even Kobe.

Jordan was 23 for the Bulls and Kobe was 24 for the Lakers.

Holy Moly...:what:

15.8 + 23 + 17.2 (-25%) = 56

Even if it does "only" 22...

15.8 + 22 + 16.5 (-25%) = 54.3

Let's say 55+ :shades:

WONDR's 3rd weekend is gonna be over MUMMY's OW

Despite June weekdays stealing from weekends, WONDR's 3rd weekend shouldn't be that much behind GOTG2's 34.7 3rd weekend.

WONDR could certainly do 32-33 next weekend if this weekend is 56.

Again, not a fair comp as WONDR has June weekdays forming a bigger % of gross than GOTG2 May weekdays (it's 3rd weekend was in May). But in favor of GOTG2, it's a sequel and hence more front-loaded than WONDR.

146.5 103.25

65.3   55-56

34.7   32-33

Kick ass increase for Wonder Woman, was expecting something in the 40% ballpark.

Let's say 55m for the weekend, so -46.5% from last weekend. Absolutely insane hold for this kind of movie at this time of year. BVS 330m DOM are going DOWN.

If 2nd weekend is 55, MOS (291+) could go down in WONDR's 4th weekend (cume in italics):

55 (2nd weekend) 204

25.5 (-42% from previous Mon-Thu) 229.5

32.5 (-41% from 2nd weekend....Father's Day Sunday) 262

14.0 (-45% from prev Mon-Thu...TF5 opens on Wed) 276

18.0 (-45% from 3rd weekend...compensating for Father's Day) 294

Then it's just 2x the 4th weekend (2*18=36) away from BVS.

My numbers above are not that optimistic either. Even adding just 2x the 4th weekend could be conservative.

340 doesn't see unrealsitic IMO...which would be 3.29x off the OW.

EDIT: Change that 55 2nd weekend to 57 and the 4th weekend cume changes from 294+ to 300+.

Deadline

Quote

Warner Bros./DC’s Wonder Woman continues to be the popular ticket with her second Saturday of $23.8M +51% over Friday. This now puts the Patty Jenkins-directed movie on track for a second weekend of $57.2M, which by the way is more than what Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad both made in their second weekends (respectively $51.3M and $43.5M), and both of those titles boasted bigger openings ($166M, $133.6M) than Wonder Woman ($103.2M).

Universal’s The Mummy is -6% today with $11.25M versus its opening day of $12M. This puts the Tom Cruise slightly higher in its opening at $31.5M, but it’s still a failure at the domestic box office with a lackluster audience response of B-, and an even worse Rotten Tomatoes score of 17% (it keeps going lower). For all the rah-rah that Universal will emote tomorrow that this movie is Cruise’s biggest global opening at $169.3M and how the movie was tailored for an overseas crowd, make no mistake, this is an upsetting start for their Dark Universe series here in the states. The Mummy‘s opening ranks lower  than the domestic debuts of all the Brendan Fraser movies and the Dwayne Johnson The Scorpion King spinoff ($36M). This is definitely not what Universal was hoping. You can read our deconstruction of what went wrong here.

In third place is DreamWorks Animation/20th Century Fox’s Captain Underpants which grew 36% between Friday and Saturday with $4.9M and an estimated second weekend of $12M, -50% and 10-day of $44.2M.

A24’s horror movie It Comes at Night lost $400K between Friday’s $2.4M and today’s $2M with a revised estimated weekend take of $5.7M. Bad word of mouth here with a D CinemaScore is overpowering any positive review for this movie (86% certified fresh) and weighing down at the pic’s box office potential. Bleecker Street’s Kate Mara war drama Megan Leavey is still on track to do $3.8M.

And Spider-Man had no Thu previews and no summer weekdays (it opened in 1st week of May so technically summer but weekdays don't score big at the BO like June-August)

What's with the obsession some have of wanting WW over BvS domestic.  I'm pretty sure Warner Bros. themselves would be dancing in the streets if that happens.  It doesn't hurt them to have WW make more.  Both will end up turning nice profits.  Either way WB wins.

Sunday drop should be closer to 30%. Still, 55M 2nd weekend is fantastic.

Edit: With deadline's new Sat estimate of 23.8M.... 57M weekend is possible.
