Rated PG for THEMATIC ELEMENTS INCLUDING SORCERY, some action, scary images, rude humor and language

They weren't kidding when they called it an entry-level horror film. Sounds like a very hard PG.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was somehow PG, too, so I'm expecting the films to be somewhat similar.

I think this'll gross similarly to the 2005 adaption of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which made $50 million domestically (now adjusted to $73 million). It won't be an outright hit but its quality will ensure at least a little bit of an audience so that overseas can cover the costs comfortably.

lol @ this movie coming out 3 weeks before Goosebumps...  Jack Black reprises his role in Goosebumps 1 with this movie, The House With A Clock In Its Walls.

House with a Clock could approach the 24 million opening weekend of Goosebumps 1.

Goosebumps 2 comes out 3 weeks after (minus Jack Black), and might not capture as much on opening weekend as the original (~24 million)

but House/Clock has to amount past 10 million on opening weekend first.

1M increase is good, if 1M people go out on OW, that could be 10 million right there.  Should make 16-26 OW.
