Which cbm's you will keep in top tier?

IMO, no cbm after 2012 is top tier.

- Not big on Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy but it's fare more compelling than just about every CBM movie that releases now.

But if tickets are more expensive, fewer people are going to go.

Also SM1 and SM2 didn't have to compete with the amount of entertainment.

They also had the novelty advantage. People had been waiting 30-40 years for a Spider-man movie.

But by that same novelty of seeing a Spiderman movie for the first time in the big screen, tons of other people would've lined up to watch it in 3D as well. Its all relative.

I've read all 12 pages and I still have no idea what's going on.

SMH? Seems like a decent enough number.

WW? Seems like a decent enough number.

Friday jumps will tell the story, as usual.

If you've read the last 12 pages then you'd know this post is definitely off topic.

Alot of those movies would make most people's top ten. So how do you decide what's top tier?

And TDK is not that compelling outside of Heath Ledger and "omg realism".

Thematically it pushes the "all men are corruptible" narrative. Interesting stuff but plenty of superhero movies have explored equally compelling themes since.

The dark knight

Batman begins

Spider-Man

HELLBOY- II

Iron Man

AVENGERS

Just these movies. I would have included incredibles too but I don't see it as a cbm. And also not anime.

Of the releases this year, I liked the one with the least critical buzz most, Guardians Vol. 2.

20th Century Fox and Dreamworks Animation's Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie (2017), an animated comedy written for the screen by Nicholas Stoller, directed by David Soren, and starring Kevin Hart, Ed Helms, Thomas Middleditch, Nick Kroll, Jordan Peele, and Kristen Schaal.

There are too many variables.

You can't just take a movie from 15 years ago and add 3D ticket sales.

Someone really just put the first Cap movie above Logan and Wonder Woman. That list is automatically irrelevant as a result.

Yup. Well above. I like the aesthetics of that one a lot. Love the look, score and sweeping feel. Pure pulp. Like an Indiana Jones movies crossed with Where Eagles Dare. Great fun.

Oh, not that it's a huge deal, but fuck... The bookends in Caps work really well in tying it into a larger universe. The bookends in Wonder Woman were absolutely shit.

Oh, I left History Of Violence off my list of best CBM. That would be near the top. Snowpiercer would be up there too.

I have an idea. Why don't we just use your list for everyone?
