Actually, that is so incredibly wrong.

Men want their female heroes to be super sexy and have fantastic legs; we just want them to be awesome, badass, and to be more than just "sexy" and "hot."

" I, as a woman, want Wonder Woman to be hot as hell, fight badass, and look great at the same time – the same way men want Superman to have huge pecs and an impractically big body. That makes them feel like the hero they want to be. And my hero, in my head, has really long legs." – Director Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman director

Yes, women want to want their female superheroes to be hot. There is nothing wrong with that.

So, not as good as I initially thought. Maybe Tuesday is huge?

Both Ant-Man and Minions did 2.9-3.15x final multi. So SM doing a little below is not bad at all. It's very good actually.

Also, it's worth noting that because of the front-loading on Fri, if it follows the same drops as Ant-Man/Mininons now on, it's 2nd weekend drop will be bigger than them (like you have shown in ur calcs). Same logic applies to over-all legs. If it behaves like these movies from now on, it's final multi ought to be a bit smaller due to the initial front-loading.

Raimi's view of what a high school nerd is like was basically Steve Urkel mixed with Spongebob and Zoloft.

It was condescending and offensive.

Homecoming was a love letter to nerds.

I'm not sure why so many box office nerds are blind to this.

i agree. tobey maguire in nerdface was deeply offensive and cultural appropriation.

I just realized that WW hasn't had a single day below $1M so far, and it won't happen tomorrow either.

So that makes for 40 straight days above $1M :ohmygod:

what's the record for this, anyone knows?

It's Spider-Man, one of the most popular superheros of all time. Of COURSE people are going to rush out to see it the first weekend.

Just Superheroes or all Movies ?

TFA did it in 43 days, AVatar did it in 78 days.

The bully argument is silly to me especially when the greatest high school movie ever made had the definitive version of what a high school bully is.

Bullies come in many forms.

I'm not sure how there can be a definitive version.

speaking of Logan, does anyone else wish all studio would track down to the last dollar like this?

Wolverine movie showed better legs than F8 (and will end above it dom by ~1m).

F5,6,7 did 2.40-2.45x so when F8 opened to 99 vs 88 of Logan, most would have expected it to beat Logan especially how notoriously front-loaded other X-Men and Wolvie movies are .

But Logan gonna end with 2.56x and F8 with 2.28x.

Personally, I thought the action went WAY downhill after Laura's reveal fight sequence and it really brought the movie down from a 10 to about an 8 for me. You got that crappy hotel sequence where he's literally just stabbing incapacitated goons. The farmhouse sequence was good until they took a cop-out method by having the farmer save him at the last second. The end battle made no sense - they had that telekinetic kid who could rip people in half with her mind. If she could do that then there was no real danger at all since she could kill all the enemies with a thought if she wanted to... which means Logan didn't even have to die but was forced to because of plot ya know?

Those goons were one second from blowing Xaviers head off. All they had to do was pull the trigger. I found it amusing that the thugs could only watch helplessly as Logan slowly clawed his way to them.

What would've been a better alternative than having the farmer rescue Logan. Just about anything would've been cliche at this point.

And the kids were scared and still inexperienced. It's totally believable they would mostly choose to run when facing a small army of cybernetic mercs.

These mostly seem like nitpicks imo.

Logan deserves it top tier status.

If you guys want to nitpick why not go after Wonder Woman? :jeb!:
