So, with the Apes daily figures, anyone thinking Pirates will stay on top of the discarded adult sequels pile this summer?

Not sure there's anything left to challenge at this point... really bland summer for grosses once you are past the 3 superheroes

:bravo: nicely done MODS (BOT), the new layer looks and feel nice, also like the added functions within the LIKE click.

Although it will reduce the number of replies (also reduces the number of pages), at the same time it will increase the number of Likes I would assume.

For some reason I am seeing broken link icons where the new emojis (?) for the expanded 'Like" functions should be.

It could be your browser, not sure what browser you are using, Im using Firefox ... IE give me some issue. If you place your mouse over the like button, you should see it extend out (sad, confuse, thanks, like etc...) should be able to choose one.

I get it opening low but there is no excuse for how bad War's legs are looking.

I am honestly surprised. It wouldn't surprise me if it went sub $150M.

Despite opening $14M more than WW, SMH is now $2.5M and change behind WW at this same point (day 13).

Wow.

I still cannot believe that Wondy not only weathered hurricane Spidey, she took it like a champion and then some.

My girl's a beast.

Damn, I didn't expect WW to fall below 2k theaters #CRUMBLING

I heard that during SDCC, WB will announce that all sequels and cameos for Wondy on other DCEU films are oficially canceled due to the film's utter failure. :P

It's an already weak performing film that's about to face another strong adult option in Dunkirk. I definitely can see it not making it to 150mil.

Yeah not at this point if it keeps on going like that.

Under 150m is now likely for Apes. Jesus

looks like domestic audiences want original films and suoerhero franchises and the non superhero franchises are being lost in the shuffle

I honestly believe that this has a whole lot more to do to with the tone of War than the notion that "non superhero franchises" are unwanted. As I've said before, while admired by just about everyone and adored by most cinephiles, War is an extremely difficult sell.

Unless Valerian completely bombs out, I expect War to place behind Dunkirk, Girls Trip, Spider-man and Valerian this coming weekend. It's weird because WOM for both War and Homecoming is actually good to very good. But, for different reasons, both are a difficult sell - Apes due to the uber-solemn/bleak tone, Spidey due to being the third Spidey reboot and sixth Spidey movie in 15 years.
