I want to address some stuff from the Tuesday thread that is now archived:

@redfirebird2008:

I didn't know about that. I thought that usually WB movies would be able to retain more IMAX screens because the deal they have, hence why I thought WW didn't lost IMAX screens from either Mummy or Cars 3, I thought that the earliest WW lost IMAX screens was with TF, and you know this stuff way better than I do, so I apologize.

@TwoMisfits:

Bingo. It's not usual that a movie that had the type of drop that Homecoming had on its second weekend to recover like that, not when it comes to blockbusters. This Wednesday numbers means that Homecoming dropped -33.3% from last Wednesday, its best week on week so far on its run. The theory I have is that Homecoming will keep getting these kind of drops from now forward.

DM3 drops -21% from Tuesday and is now -35% from last Wednesday.

DM3's 5th Wednesday: 1.262m (total: 234.2 - 23.7% behind Minions' at same point)

Minions' 5th Wednesday: 1.06m (total: 306.8)

- (7) Despicable Me 3 Universal $1,262,250 -21% 3,030 $417   $234,220,870 34

Yeah, from Alien Covenant in mid-May all the way to Spidey in early July, there was a new movie for IMAX every week. The schedule was very stacked during this part of summer.

Nolan and WB got lucky on Dunkirk because there aren't really any big IMAX type movies in August. Dark Tower is the closest to that type of movie, but that is where Nolan's relationship with IMAX comes into play.

If WB gets Bond then watch Cavill becoming the  next Bond.He has prooven that he can pull it off ,he is a fan favorite and WB is more than eager to keep offering new projects to actors from "inside the family"....plus,it can help the MOS franchise and vice versa.

I honestly wouldn't enjoy that. And I love Cavill and hope that he gets to play Superman in solo films years to come. I'd rather see either Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston or hell, even a woman playing Bond. That would be cool.

Not to beat a dead horse, but it's big that Spidey has now leaped multiple movies and gotten back in to the top 4 (with a shot at top 3 today).  It guarantees theaters will hold the movie longer than newer releases such as Apes, Valerian, and Atomic Blonde (and its continued legs will help it keep screens over DM3, which was relegated to 1/2 screen at one of my locals while Spidey kept the full screen, even before Nut Job Never opens next weekend)...the longer you keep screens, the longer legs you can have - see WW...

If WB gets Bond then watch Cavill becoming the  next Bond.He has prooven that he can pull it off ,he is a fan favorite and WB is more than eager to keep offering new projects to actors from "inside the family"....plus,it can help the MOS franchise and vice versa.

But he's so wooden...

1000 likes - I can't stand Cavill's acting...he'd never be a good bond b/c he has almost no natural charisma or likability...

I honestly don't think he is that wooden. All he needs is good material to work with. Take a look at Wonder Woman or Guardians Vol. 1 and 2, it's not like Gal or Dave are better actors than him, and somehow Jenkins and Gunn made it work.
