Cavill was so, so bad in 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E'. He comes off as a major douche or a fake try hard. No matter who's his director. And no, it's not his character. Craig is taunting and doing mean **** to people (Mostly women) in the Bond movies, but he got class.

Gadot and Affleck schooled him when they had screen time with him in BvS.

Cavill-Hammer-Vikander were all very good in UNCLE and they had such a great chemistry, I wish the movie was a much smaller project in the first place, so it wouldn't have bombed and we would get sequels with them doing spy stuff around Europe.

No, it was not. His character was not written that way. Protagonist spies in movies say and do mean stuff to protect/hide/make a point. Cavill made his character seem psychotic. You just can't buy him as a guy who went through stuff and got promoted and trusted. An authority figure. He was sopposed to be a top agent in TMFU.

It's his smug face and delivery.

That Valerian theater drop HOLY SHIT:ohmyzod:

This decline for Homecoming is STEEP. Way above what I was expecting, $8m has now become the best possible scenario for the weekend, and I wouldn't rule it out high $6m's for it either. Both SS and GotG managed to keep more theaters on its fifth weekend. :sadben:

At the end of the day, an actor can only do so much with what they're given. Henry's Superman isn't exactly his fault. He's not given a lot to work with. Period. He can't make Superman all vibrant and lively when the script wants him to be dull and broody.

But based on what I've seen in interviews, there's no reason why he can't be a lively Superman. The guy is actually pretty charismatic and if his Superman character were written correctly, he'd be able to showcase that in his character too.

This^^^^!!

What is Kidnap expected to make this weekend?

About $7M but if my theater is any indication, I wouldn't be shocked at under $5M.

All the openers are looking really rough though.

I am so rooting for Kidnap to pull a 47 Meters Down and leg it out decently in spite of bad reviews and being online.

I love Halle and I would love her to be back in the Hollywood radar. :(
