Detroit has only sold 2 seats for its late show, and Valerian's one showing hasn't sold anything.

Annabelle isn't as presale heavy as it was yesterday. The first showing is about 50% fuller than yesterday's first show, but the rest of the day is down pretty sharply at the moment.

That seems good considering it's a documentary, is it expanding next week?

This is probably the widest it's going; theaters aren't going to want something that isn't grossing much, especially conservative areas.

I'm guessing it is The Shape of Water.

Nooooooo

I trust Del Toro to make an interesting film.

Dunkirk on pace for 37% weekend drop. Not bad after mediocre Wednesday and Thursday numbers. 37% weekend drop means $153m total, $6m ahead of Interstellar even after Interstellar's boost from Thanksgiving.

Dunkirk will need this $6m advantage later on when Interstellar receives a boost from Christmas/New Year holidays. Longer it can maintain this current advantage, the better chance it has of going above $185m.

Dunkirk will also get a Labor Day boost, so that helps. 188 still seems like a good target.
