After critical duds such as Edge of Tomorrow, Rogue Nation, and American Made, it is good to see that Tom Cruise has at least make some quality movies with Jack Reacher 2 and The Mummy.

Yeah one should not adjust to today's date but the date when Shrek2 released and that time Shrek1 was sub-300 adjusted.

 

btw, the comment made me look at Shrek1's run. Between Ttitanic and Avatar, has any 200m+ movie (Friday openers only, so can't use Frozen) beaten Shrek1's multiplier of 6.32x?

If that movie gets released here in Portugal, it has a shot at being a pretty big hit. Wildfires have been a very recent and tragic topic here in our country, and a movie like this is handmade for our audiences. Any thoughts, @CJohn?

It is getting released in November by Pris. I am sure they will try to connect it to that. Maybe even a campaign where a part of the box office goes to the firemen. My guess is that it will flop anyway even if they do all that.

It's an adult-skewing film with good reviews and a star with an overall good quality control (with some exceptions, of course). Yeah it will have legs. 

 

People are still overestimating Blade Runner like crazy.
