I think a lot of people dismissed that Dylan Farrow letter a few years back as being nothing but opportunistic during awards season (it was the Blue Jasmine year). Guess people finally came around. Woody's not exactly been helping his cause by making the plots of some of the movies he's put out since (including the upcoming one with Timmy) revolve around an affair between an older man and a much younger woman.

People were happy to ignore that letter until more people started to call out sexual harassment and assault in general.

 

After that letter came out, no one had an excuse to work with him, especially not rich kids or former Disney stars trying to break into acting.

A lot of Saudis still watched movies like Fast and Furious through the internet streaming and Sat TV which is very popular there.

 

Its not like its North Korea where the people have not seen a movie in 35 years.
