Good movie! Small caveat being that, on further inspection, it turns out that it is not eligible for this years top 25 on account of it being released in 1992.

I feel so sorry for Devin.  All he wanted to do was sexually assault a few women and now for some reason he doesn’t have a career because of it.  A very sad story for sure

I saw Mohicans for the first time last year all the way through. Extremely solid historical drama, easily Mann's most accessible film too. 

 

The score is superb too. The thing about it though, is that since it was two composer (mostly thanks to Mann's micromanaging), it was deemed ineligible for an Oscar. Nowadays with the academy constantly changing their scoring rules, it would have gotten a nomination, but back then it didn't, which is a shame. The love theme is great.
