I feel Hulk works best as a supporting character when is working off other super-powered characters. When he's by himself, it's a little less interesting.

So far with his solo films that’s been the case. I just think so much cool Hulk comic stuff we still haven’t got from Rick Jones to Amadeus Cho.

I mean, Universal really has no reason to hang on to the rights. They aren't doing squat so it kinda seems like a middle finger to Disney.

RDJ costs a lot because makes them a lot of money and since IM3 most of his pay came from a  % of the gross - so his high pay is tied to high returns.

Hulk won't happen because Universal has right of first refusal to distribute a Solo.  Hawkeye won't happen because he's Hawkeye.  Black Widow has a chance with Phase 4 wide open.

I see Marvel phase 4

Spider Man 2 July 2019

GOTG 3  May 2020

Black Panther 2 August 2020

Dr. Strange 2  November 2020

Ms. Marvel 2 May 2021

Spider Man 3 July 2021

Ant- Man/Wasp 3 November 2021

New character February/march 2022

Avengers 5 May 2022

Maybe a Iron Man 4/ Thor 4 somewhere between

Wow! Very good weekend at the box office! Thor had a strong start with an estimated $121 million, and should have alright legs and should make close to $300 million domestic.

Bad Moms Christmas proved to be more on the nice list than the naughty list of rushed comedy sequels. The sequel debuted with an estimated $17 million 3-day and $21 5-day. Considering the first film make $23.8 million last summer, that’s not a bad drop-off. Holds will be all over the place, but should make at least between $60-$70 million domestic.

Jigsaw dipped nearly 60%, but had a smaller drop than Saw 3D did back in 2010. Jigsaw should have steeper drops in the future, but should make between $35-$40 million domestic.

As for the rest of the releases, mixed holds. Madea still being beat down and should join the weakest of the series. Geostorm not dropping horrendous, but still a huge domestic dud. Happy Death Day, having happy holds for a horror flick and should make around $60 million. Blade Runner 2049 still a domestic dud but should outgross Alien Covenant’s worldwide very soon. Thank You For Your Service had a solid drop, but needs to have some more solid dailies and with Veterans Day coming up, it should be interesting about its holds.

Only The Brave, dropping small but should make around $20 million.Let There Be Light, shined to a under 10% drop but more expanding or later holds is in question. The Foreigner still getting shot down but should be a small profit with STX thanks to overseas. Victoria & Abdul had a small drop as well, and should come close to $25 million total

Gave in and googled it. Turns out it's a German movie originally called Fuck You Goethe, which is not really what I was expecting (why is the title misspelled like that in English?) Anyway, sadly, its only point of interest appears to be that Sandra Huller aka the best actress of 2016 is in it.

K2 had a 4.4m os weekend, 0.75m dom weekend and is on 389.6m ww.

1.4m more dom and 9m more from current os markets will take it to 400m ww.

Then Japan should bring 8-10m for 408-410m ww.

Matching K1's 414.35m ww seems tough. Surprisingly it won't match K1's 75m in China even though it showed growth in many markets. China's market is booming but K2 will end up a tad below K1 at ~72m it seems.

For The Foreigner  China is the main market (where it gets 40% of the B.O.) the rest including the U.S. is O/S. With a $35m budget it's doing quite well.

$121 million is a great opening for a Thor movie, even including the Hulk.  Huge increase from TDW. Great marketing campaign created lots of hype for this. Seems to have great WOM so it'll likely have excellent legs.

Justice League should open to at least $150 million, if not $175 million, so glad to see the BO reviving.

Don’t forget Space, a Cars spinoff made purposely for merchandising money.

Just looked that up, since I was not super familar with it. Why isn't that an animated movie that's debuting on their upcoming online service? At best it'll probably do Plane: Fire & Rescue numbers anyway.
