So my wife saw TGS today and she LOVED!! it. Said she’d see it again and she doesn’t see anything more than once in theaters.

Oddly she is the best looking I’ve seen her in that. I’ve never thought much of her looks, like pretty but nothing special. To me she is too womanly in general and I don’t like that look as much as cute and girly (like say Mila Kunis cute and girly, Angelina Jolie womanly, both very attractive but different looks; or Victoria Justice versus Kim Kardashian, etc.). But somehow the way she acted or something won me over more in Molly’s Game. Regardless of her looks though it’s her acting that impresses me. I can watch her in anything, she’s fantastic.

Avengers is still one of the most FUN blockbusters of all time.

 

In fact, glancing over the all time DOM top 50, none of those movies come close to the fun factor of TA.

TA 2nd weekend (still doing gangbusters), big crowd on a big screen was an extremely memorable experience. The theater was sold out and they put chairs in the isles where an extra 20-30 folks were sitting. IM1, TA and GOTG1 were the most fun MCU movies (haven't seen Thor3) on the 1st watch in theaters for me. But when I re-watch MCU movies there are others I prefer over them, even if I didn't love them the first time. Eg: IM3. I like re-watching it over IM1. 

 

For that matter I prefer re-watching TDKR over TDK despite vastly different early screening opinion. But yeah, TA was great fun and so was JW in a similar way.

I'm sure she's relieved that you finally find her attractive. LoL.

Avengers On opening night was memorable to me. I have never seen everyone clap after a super hero movie. (I feel like Logan could get that though)

i thought there were many such cinematic moments in ta:

hulk loki

im in whale

thor v hulk

hulk v black widow

the 360 shot, hulk's secret and 'hulk smash'

hawkeye shooting arrows 

etc...

 

surprised at how much hulk pops up in my list above, just wrote it top off my head.

LOL well I think a lot of “hot” actresses are nowhere near hot. I feel like the average guy rates girls 7+ as hot. To me 9-10 is hot and 7-8.99 is cute. Emma Stone, Jessica Chastain, Jennifer Lawrence are all in that 7 or 8 range. They’re not Adriana Lima / Alessandra Ambrosio / Victoria Justice 10s.

I think sans photoshop, heavy makeup and designer dresses probably the guys and gals around us - relatives, friends, acquaintances, neighborhood, etc. - are as good looking as most celebs.

 

edit:

that sounded like a truism as that's where actors come from (our relatives, friends, neighbors, etc). but meant those guys/gals around us who we compartmentalize as 'normal looking/ordinary/not celeb-material', etc.

It Pretty much established the MCU as the dominant comic book franchise for our times.

Yes, some mid-Atlantic locales (most of VA and MD) closed early or closed all day for ice that didn't show til late night...now we know where so many of the viewers to those movies live:)...
