It's gonna be lucky to cross $90M at this point. A rare true miss for Disney these days.

Of all the Disney films that could've failed, the one that deserved success the most is the one that fails.

I mean, for animation/completely family directed movies (where you can toss in Paddington and Peter Rabbit), we've had Coco at $210Mish (and even then, many thought it should be higher) and Peter now getting to $115Mish probably...and nothing else...and we had movies that were A+ Cinescores, huge critical raves, etc, and it didn't help...

The Star never really appealed to audiences, Ferdinand had strong legs but got drowned out by Jumanji and Jedi, Coco had its legs axed off due to competition and screen loss but had Pixar behind it and was amazing, Paddington 2, sadly wasn’t meant for great ness, and Peter Rabbit was also good. Gnomes looked like crap it had nothing to do with Moviepass.

Why does the movie that got critical and audience trashing deserve success? It is a bad movie. Critics didn't like it, fans of the book didn't like it and previews were too unappealing to the uninitiated to check it out. It failed for a reason and it would have failed even if there wasn't the boxoffice phenomenon that catered to the similar audience and thus siphoned the viewers away.

4.3M (+55%)

2.8M (-35%)

9.9M Weekend

10M is going to be down to the wire :hahaha: With the godawful WOM it has, I won't be surprised if the Saturday increase is smaller or the Sunday decrease is bigger
