holy fuck @ that 16% drop for IOD :jeb!:

50m hopes seem gone, but maybe 40 can happen.

I'd be interested to know the kid demo breakdown for it this weekend now that it expanded so much. It's a pretty tame PG-13, I really think 8 and above would be fine. There's Disney animated movies that are more disturbing.

61-62 dom total for PRU on a 150 prod budget is horrendous. Global cume is probably targeting 320.

57-58 for TR on a 94 budget sounds better even though that's also pitiful. Fortunately it's already at 2.86*94 globally and should be ~2.95x eventually.

Deadline said it was 54% under 35 and 52% male, so even if there aren't many kids seeing it, Friday and Saturday jumps may behave like a movie aimed at teens. Grand Budapest had strong increases, which also helps the case for big Friday jumps.

So BP is looking at 696 with TA's multi from here. Definitely gonna need that IW boost to get to 700 I think.

I agree. It looks like it will hit $680M by the end of next weekend, or close to it, and then finish between $690-695M total. So close to $700M total, unless it somehow gets a boost or expansion on the Infinity War weekend.

Either way, it has had very strong legs. Sits at a 3.34 multiplier already with this weekend's actuals.

Peace,

Mike

Damn, I Can Only Imagine still doing great numbers at your theater on its 5th week. You might be the only person in your area who hasn't watched the film yet.

To be fair, it's only selling in the mid-teens for earlier shows and mid-singles for later shows. A lot of movies currently playing have no senior appeal at all

A $18m budgeted horror movie is saving Paramount's ass.

Who could've seen that coming.

It'll be their highest grossing movie since Star Trek Beyond, w/a likely chance that it outgrosses it, thus Paramount would have to go all the way back to 20fucking15's Rogue Nation for a movie of theirs that made as much as A Quiet Place. Insane.

quiet place over or under get out? what do we reckon?

I think it’s going over.

Providing the hold next weekend is as solid as it was this weekend it’s going to stick around for a good while.

If BP is that close, perhaps Mickey Mouse's deep pockets could find 5-6 million in "adjustments?":D

I would love to see this movie hit 700.
