Not sure about Eminem's album/8 Miles movie, but I know Jlo had one back in 2002 with that wedding movie with Mathew McConaughey.

Yea,it would take a bit of research, something I'm not all that inclined to do right now.

EDIT...actually it was number one both at the box office and on the charts:

Maybe that sports conference thingie (something with a #7?) that Gitesh tweeted about for Monday happening?

(Since the explanation for the conference thingie, I might have a problem to ever take a sports final announcement seriously in the way to imagine not the right thing)

Solo and DP2 are slotted for 25% drops.  There's also always a NBA playoff game around now and viewership isn't big enough to affect attendance to that degree.  It's not the Super Bowl.

Disney going to Disey - Underestimating AIW on a weekly basis is their thing.

Disney did the same thing with 14 out of 15 of BP's weekend.

J Lo had the #1 movie, album and song all the same week in 2001.

Looking at the chart, WB seems the only one capable of reasonable Memorial Day projection lol.

The -43% drop for IW looks even more hilarious here.

There were also two weeks in 1998 when Titanic, the soundtrack, and “My Heart Will Go On” were all at the top of their respective charts.

We're talking about a person who starred in a number one film at the same time they had the number one song in the USA.

My link is to Eminem for 8 Mile.

I still wonder how much did Disney/Lucasfilm anticipate the reaction to TLJ. Surely with some of the story decisions regarding Luke especially that they had to have known there was going to be some push back but then again they greenlit a Rian Johnson Star Wars trilogy without him even pitching what the story was gonna be.

they didn't. They greenlit Johnson's trilogy before TLJ even came out. They thought that TLJ would be an overwhelmingly beloved film. Hell, I would bet anything they scheduled Solo six months after is because they thought it would benefit from the afterglow of TLJ

In a side note: Donald Glover has the #1 song and movie in the country atm, when was the last time this happened?

Worldwide sensation Jennifer Lopez did it. Her movie as an actual hit! Also the song wasn’t fuled by a pandering social justice gimmick!
