At $2.5B To Date, Summer’s B.O. Is More Colossal Than Ever Imagined; Dinos Still Rule With $59M Second Weekend

Summer is truly roaring, and it’s not just because of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom which is topping the B.O. in its second weekend with $59M, -60% with a 10-day total of $263.7M.

Both titles continue to respectively rule the top two spots of this weekend’s B.O. with Incredibles 2 cemented in second place with a third weekend of $44.8M at 4,410 locations, -44% for a running total by Sunday of $438.9M. At that level, the Pixar superheros will easily become the second-highest movie of all-time stateside for the animated studio after Finding Dory ($486.2M) and ahead of Toy Story 3 ($415M).

Sicario: Day of the Soldado financed completely by Black Label Media. On the bright side, the pic is coming in ahead of its $9M-$13M tracking with an estimated $18.8M at 3,055 in 3rd place.

Lionsgate’s Uncle Drew didn’t cost as much as Soldado, in the high teens before P&A, which makes its chances for profitability down the road after all ancillaries a bit more promising after its current $16.8M opening weekend forecast in fourth place.

I'll go with dunkirk

5.5m MN  50.5m OW

Sicario 2, 18.36m with that ratio

idk I feel like there's a sizable and intense Nolan fanbase that would bump its Thurs slightly?

But then again, it's also world cup round of 16 this weekend so possibly people are seeing it earlier cause they'll be watching matches on Sat/Sun (especially since this movie heavily marketed to the Hispanic demo)

That comp worked out. Blind squirrel found a nut

Estimates for the weekend were 150mil, so about 1.5mil above the actual.

Premiere week. Universal did that because it sounded better than 148.5 million. JW 2 will be over 60 million.

Incredibles jumped less than I expected... I was expecting it to get 15M. I am pretty sure the official number will come in higher than deadline estimates.

Even if the 13.5M number sticks.... 45M 3rd weekend is not bad at all!
