And yes, there is a strong possibility for Carol to make more. Captain Marvel is also higher than Venom, which made $110.2M on 3-day opening, in advance ticket sale at the same point. In terms of superhero films, Carol is only behind Thanos in Chinese pre-sale. #CaptainMarvel

UK gross more predictable based on DOM than a lot of markets. Always 1/10-1/7th, back to Avengers 2012. Generally UK % is smaller on the bigger movies DOM. Personally expecting 400-550 DOM ->45-60 or so UK. Happy for a Uk expert to chime in as support or disagreement though.

Highly unlikely this will get close to $60m in the UK. Exchange rates are far too weak for that as that requires £45m. Only Avengers films/TDK/TDKR/BP have got past that mark. 

 

A more standard figure for Marvel films would be between £25-35m. If you take the middle value that works out to be around $40m.

It did but we can't run ahead of our self, because CM could just have the same reception in china with bad lags (I don't think so but it's still China where everything can happen).

BP is also a cat. Look how the legs of that film turned out in China. That country is very unpredictable so we should be conservative with our BO predictions.

it's still going to open bigger than BP and even with shit legs (that likely won't not be shit) will make more thanks to bigger OW. So that would close the gap opened by UK boxoffice that isn't expected to reach BP's.
