Did we watch the same trailer? It's far more serious than not only those two movies, but also the previous Ant-Man movies. The compositing also looks far better than Thor 4 and Dr. Strange 2.

from an Asian / Chinese perspective who grew up with Jackie Chan / Jet Li / Donnie Yen films - SC was not good at all; lots of stuntdoubles and deepfake across fight scenes and CGI in final act was atrocious.

 

NWH was good; saved by the reunion of the 3 spideys but villains' motivations totally blurred and most of them lost their arc from their respective previous movies.

Apparently this dude is catching up with the last few years of events... It would be pretty insensitive for this movie to be about anything other than what it is, especially after the global impact that the first film made with Boseman.  His name is "Hell" and he has "A personal issue with sad movies..."???  Open your heart to the world and realize it's full of peaks and valleys.  You have to have some real gravity with the bubblegum, otherwise these movies don't mean anything...especially when this production went through what it did...

Thinking around 80s for this. Reactions are not super overly  positive but pretty solid overall seems like they handled Chadwick's tribute pretty well.ludwig and bassette performance are good.

 

Negatives I'm getting on this are runtime, nothing can quite feel the gap Chadwick left. And most reviews are pretty quiet on namor and the villians...

Ant man us NOT going to be serious. Its an antman movie with Modok as a secondary villain. Fricking MODOK. Anyone expecting seripusness in this movie is setting themselves up.

 

And im gonna shout it from the rooftops. Some people here would NOT put the same energy into critisizing the tone of some movies if said tobe was dark and heavy. The pitchforks come out for the humor only. Its laughable.
