Big drop for Captain Marvel. I figured around 72 which would have kept it just over 1 million.

Monster drop for Shazam and several things dropped 80%. CM had a big 76% drop too  I'm not gonna adjust forecast yet till I see Tuesday. My guess is Shazam explodes up on Tuesday and CM jumps more than usual as well. We shall see.

I don’t really buy the sad ending-> low rewatch theory for CW. IW had a sad ending and I think was hugely rewatched. think the main driver was playing as Avengers 2.5 for days 1-3 but Captain America 3 for days 4-90.

I didn't rewatch A IW

A IW got a lot more 'must watch' buzz for reasons. I know a lot of ppl who watched the MCUs mostly per HV or similar, but went for A IW into a cinema after that buzz.

I think A IW heeled in quite some couch potatoes 😉

First day under $1m?

If even the horror film dropped over 70% on a Monday, something’s been happening elsewhere then

This thread is a perfect example of the Dumpster Fire the Boxoffice part of this site has become.

As one of the old BOM guard it makes me sad that as the old guard knowledgeable posters have left we have mainly added divisive fanboys and people who cant understand statistics and factual data.

All the handwringing over nothing. Yall wouldnt have survived in the days of 300% increases on Fridays but consistently over 50% Sunday drops (and no huge swings on Tuesday / Wednesdays).

I try my best to calm down (and I am not even watching it, as teen centred, not my thing, for that I have my pupils)
