its also losing screens. But that impact is minimal this week as its still just 6th week. Next week will see the worst impact.

IW actually increased today but I doubt that happens. If it does it's easier to get those numbers too.

Theater count update. PIkachu is ahead of Endgame. I would say 8m weekend for Endgame this week.

 

Edit: IW theater count was 3570.

Yep that's fair. Massive drop, bigger than Infinity War was screen wise. No way to spin that. Horrible drop in screens.

 

Gimme 2.1/3.5/2.5 weekend.

While that isn't good news for Endgame, let's put some perspective: Gojira isn't getting good buzz and it's already underperforming overseas, so the silver lining here might be that The Avengers: Endgame could possibly still keep following the 2018's Avengers film closely this weekend in an optimistic scenario. Regardless, it will be interesting to see what happens this weekend.

Problem is who is marketing these final fox movies. Disney might not push as hard as for Disney releases. So its kind of dumped. But as long as it gets good number of screens, theater count is secondary. I dont think we have more than 3500 major plexes.

Endgame is dropping Theaters harder than IW, as it facing more competition for screens than IW at this point. 

IW had 3,570 theaters in the comparable weekend. What all this means is that, it very unlikely that it will match IW's 10m comparable weekend. There is still chance, but not that high.
