Action Point

June 1, 8:00 PM, 10% full

University Place 8, Carbondale, IL

Trailers (arrived late)

Hotel Artemis

Skyscraper

Superfly

The Darkest Minds

Tag - some laughs

Mission: Impossible - Fallout

The Happytime Murders - big laughs

Someone REALLY loved this and laughed every time someone got hit. Otherwise, it was a typical comedy audience with people moderately laughing at a lot of the stuff.

Adrift

June 3, 2:15 PM, 10% full

University Place 8, Carbondale, IL

Trailers

A Simple Favor

Mission: Impossible - Fallout

Mamma Mia!: Here We Go Again - the old women behind me seemed super excited

Searching

The Darkest Minds

Crazy Rich Asians

Mile 22

Peppermint

Ugh these people behind me were super talkative during the trailers, shut up during the movie, but then with literally ten minutes left in it, they started talking out of nowhere and wouldn't shut up until the credits rolled. Super annoying.

Hotel Artemis

4:10 PM

Six people. There was a weird gaggle of people in the lobby while I was waiting for my father. Chattery. Too damn loud. I did get a mini poster though.

Trailers;

Searching

KIN - I don't know how I forgot this one when the running thought through my mind was "You could probably just offer Franco a barely-legal young woman and the debt would be repaid".
Crazy Rich Asians (I was the only one who cared)

Skyscraper Trailer 2 (Talk about showing the entire movie)
City of Lies

Bad Times at The El Royale (one man went 'WHOA!', I admit, I have more positive feelings toward it now)

A few chuckles. Laughs at "He lives in Florida, he's already suffering."

It looks hilarious :hahaha: Currently at 67% on RT tho

As bad as Unfriended was, I'd call it a guilty pleasure for some (myself included).  I think my own expectations were so low that I was surprised there was anything about it that was good at all.  Not saying its a good horror movie, or even a good movie.  But some elements to it that surprised a bit and exceeded those bottom tier expectations.  I could still see scenarios where it does better than expected because it has either some kind of micro-following or people just want a laugh.
