Lol No. The point is, if you're looking for why Disney remakes are successful then look at their reception among the GA. Doesn't matter if you, or I, or anyone else personally think they suck. They resonate with the audience, at large, and that *is* ultimately what matters.

Yep. Same goes for Venom, Transformer films, HP films, LOTR films, etc.

that's great and all but I still don't know your thoughts on the Transformers movies.  if you think they suck just know that your opinion is invalid because they resonate with the audience

I like the Jamescameronscholar approach of, the best film ever is the highest grossing. makes it super easy to figure out what films someone likes.

i must say it gives me some pleasure knowing JCS's favourite film is now Avengers Endgame.

Yeah, because this is about your personal opinion as opposed to the larger point, re: why Disney remakes are successful and others are not.

why even have opinions at all when you can see how everyone else thinks and just have that opinion instead?  sorry guys I was just joking when I said I loved Midsommar and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, my favorite movies of the year are actually Aladdin and The Secret Life of Pets 2 because they had high audience scores

Your opinions are valid to you, like my opinions are valid to me. I didn't love Titanic but I'm not gonna be ridiculous and say it sucked. Even if I hated it (which I do not) I would respect the hell out of it's universal appeal.

Glad you like OUATIH and I hope it does well in the box office.

Is it me or 16M Friday is a terrible number for OUTIH? Holy molly frontloadedness.

depends on Saturday but definitely seems like 40 or less is possible. 6.89 PM would be lower than TLK

The problem with TOG is he thinks he is defending art-house cinema, originality and good quality witch is a very good thing. But in fact he is just fed up Disney is dominating the box-office now, if it was another big studio. He won't complain at all. It is all about some inner desire for everyone.

That's what preview showings at 4 pm do.

That means basically a 3/4 to full day for a movie.

Yes, everyone who dunks on the lion king is a Disney hater.

Oh God Tarantino is an author, it doesn't make 4 quadrant quarter movies like the disney made in laboratory machines. Kill bill vol 1 got a B+. Anyway as I said in the topic of the movie the general audience who loved movies like inglorious or django maybe won't love it cause it's not what you can expect. We know people give the A's in theaters when they get what they think they are paying for. See the A cinemascore for Twilight or The lion King.

You realize you have permission to say Titanic sucked right? No law against it.
