Avatree
So it begins. It was obvious Unbroken was gonna bomb almost everywhere OS but I always thought it would do well in the UK. I don't feel like there's much awareness about it here, it will bomb. American Sniper will do worse though.
PhilipJ2001
Yeah this is going to be our best week so far on Paddington It is already our number 1 film of the year.
SchumacherFTW
Birdman better be going fully wide in week 2 or I'm going to be pissed of! Also, has anyone else suddenly seen big hero 6 previews start popping up near them for Sunday? Really random, but I have to see it! Heretic
Yeah it's got some previews this weekened it seems.
Jonwo
I wouldn't be surprised if BH6 has more previews near its release date but quite unusual for Disney as they never normally do these sort of previews.
PhilipJ2001
yeah this Sunday is 'Big Hero Day' obviously taking a leaf out of HTTYD2's book from that Sunday preview it had back in June
SchumacherFTW
So for the calendar year of 2014, The Lego Movie was our biggest film? That's kinda nuts. Should end up second in the end, or possibly third depending on how Paddington holds up after the holiday finishes.
JCS
Happy New Year! Not a great 2014 for UK BO or admissions but 2015 will be huge!

Heretic
Not sure, but it's almost sold out the biggest screen at my cinema, and it'll probably have good legs. Opening should be above Imitation Game.

Jonwo
It'll be interesting how Taken 3 because it has competition and the second film did great but the WOM was mixed, I think £4-5m four days is doable but might be a tad lower. Into the Woods I think £2-3m and Foxcatcher £1m
PhilipJ2001
Theory Of Everything massive for us today. Paddington has been huge all week. Hobbit holding up nicely and Night At The Museum has increased on last week.
Heretic
Paddington isn't slowing down at all, still looking busy as hell this afternoon. Should be around $45m after Sunday. Only thing is pound to dollar is falling significantly. In July it was over 1.7, and since then it's fallen steadily, now at 1.53. Not good news at all.
