Given the popularity of The Crown, I’m intrigued as to how this’ll perform. It’s receiving critical acclaim and will probably have a long run over the Christmas period. Endgame, TFA, Infinity War? For such a big market, it is so disappointing that we don’t have access to more granular information like daily box office/admissions for the UK like most other European countries (or even the rest of the world for that matter). I don’t get it Correct Sat AEG, AIW ,TFA, NTTD 8.5m 17 hours ago, Heretic said: So should be around £35m going into the weekend. Probably around £48m by Sunday with a drop of around 40% on last FSS. Would need a sub 30% drop to top £50m. It's be over 37mil 4

I have seen some comments from people who've seen it that the trailers make Spencer look very conventional when it's definitely not...one likened it to a sort of ghost story? If it's "odd", then it's not necessarily going to appeal to fans of The Crown... Think of how The Favourite was too edgy for those who went in thinking it would be like Downton Abbey (I guess they missed all the trailers? lol). Anyway, the bait and switch doesn't tend to help with box office longevity, people hate being misled about a film's tone.
