The Batman | March 4, 2022 | Warner Bros. | Certified Fresh on RT | 7th Most Profitable Movie of 2023

I find that usually the best films have a Rottentomatoes score between 80 and 88%. The ones in the 90's tend to be somewhat consensual and often a bit more conventional. Not saying there aren't great movies with scores in the 90's, but in the 80's often suggests a certain level of creative risk that makes the films more worthwhile.

This is still a massive generalization, though

That’s not how you’re supposed to review a film…

I hate when critics do this nonsense

I think there's a difference between asking "why is a comedy funny" and saying hey this is just incel porn with Taxi Driver cosmetics.

Nah its only some american critics with a weird obsession about the movie relating to the world instead of just judging whether its a good movie or not, hence batman is too depressing for the current times as if reeves should have turned course due to the pandemic

Pretty good reviews for The Batman as expected. I love Cloverfield and Reeves’ Apes trilogy and am glad it seems he made another banger. Will check it out this Thursday as part of a campus trip.

Positive reviews on RT didn't help The Suicide Squad but they might've helped No Way Home.

Maybe when a movie has enough popularity a good RT score can help achieve universal awareness.

NWH didn’t need reviews to help. People were dead set on seeing that movie regardless.
