Expected CGI complaints aside (it does look awful), bit more mixed than I expected, and in some ways hypocritical considering multiverse treatment precedent - but not going to go any more into it since I know that sort of talk is banned. Either way, feeling more like a 70s film now, but we'll find out soon enough.

The funniest thing in all this is critics who complain about horrible CGI mess and fan service/nostalgia nonsense probably gave glowing reviews to No Way Home where exactly the same complaints can be applied. Astounding hypocrisy and dishonesty.

Same thing happened with Aquaman when a bunch of critics trashed it’s ridiculous/over the top scenes like the octopus playing drums and in the same breath they were the ones that loved when Anthony played the drums in A&tW. DC films will always be held to a different standard for whatever mysterious reason. Maybe it’s inherent bias? Something else? Whatever the case is the double standards will always be there and DC fans will just have to live with it.

Looking like an epic crowd pleaser.

And critic hypocrisy with non-Nolan dc films, what a surprise.

Didn’t The Batman ended up being (deservedly) the best received SH movie of last year by critics?
