Ya, I had no issues either.

I do think his movies do have this issue, but I 100% think a lot of it is down to the quality of the presentation. I heard the same complaint when I was walking out of a different movie and the manager was saying how Nolan likes to do his mix. I asked what screen it was and I was more than happy to back the customer up as I had had the same issue with Barbie in the same screen on its opening weekend (and then again Blue Beetle). Some standard screens are such poor quality nowadays, with zero interest in maintaining, let alone improving quality, both for projection but especially sound.

Losing dedicated projectionists who took care of the presentation is possibly the worst thing that's happened to the theatrical experience. Most theaters simply don't act on a poor quality presentation until there's an "unacceptable" level of complaints, and who knows what that threshold is for most of them.

Listened to podcast with Imax CEO and interesting thing about more 70mm venues planned including many in US. This is a huge u-turn indeed after the format almost died.

There was tons of discussed around Oppenheimer, MI7 and upcoming fall releases.

I at last saw Oppenheimer at AMC Metreon Imax. The screen is simply WOW. I am eager to see all big movies like Dune 2, Avatar sequels and all Chris Nolan movies at that screen going forward. I would still give edge to Dolby for sound perspective, but that resolution on 70mm Imax is so immersive and I was able to enjoy the movie like I have never watched it before.

Movie itself was outsanding again. Certain performances from Blunt, Ehrenreich, Clarke and even Pugh stood out 2nd time around. Damon probably not as much as 1st time around and Murphy/RDJ were brilliant. Both of them and Blunt would get actor nominations for sure.
