Isn't this forum with most box-office smart? I came back to this forum a month ago and except for very few people no one was on board for what it is doing right now. Some people were denying it's internet hype will convert into box-office either...

It's bigger than IW but not as big as Endgame.

But being bigger than IW during a pandemic is simply incredible.

If no plague, could this have beaten Endgame’s OW?

Definitely not. COVID is only gonna effect the domestic opening by maybe 5%. There isn't THAT much concern for it, that it's holding some insane amount of people back.

Yeah I’m not sure that if Covid were still a major concern for most moviegoing wise we’d be looking at a top 3, possibly top 2 opening weekend here. It just took some (well, a lot) of time and the right movie to get us back to something resembling a normal playing field.

Hmm. Seems that the OW for Spidey, might be underestimated or what. Anyone think the numbers will be higher or so? 🤔🧐

Yes. It'll be over TFA for sure. I can see it getting up to $261-263M on the upper end, though the more likely number is around IW +/- $2M.

Maybe not, but things will be ugly globally in a month or so. UK possibly going into full lockdown is just the beginning.

I can see people rushing a bit to watch it just in case.
