Atom's discount ticket deal will be for 3/1 showings only.  So don't expect much of a boost to Batsy tickets at Cinemark given how few IMAX theaters they have.

They should start adding 10:30pm showings lol.

The Batman, counted today at 10am EST for Friday, March 4:

NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 869 (19 showtimes)
Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 1.381 (19 showtimes)
Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 314 (10 showtimes)
Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 133 (7 showtimes)
Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 324 (16 showtimes)
San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): 1.033 (23 showtimes)
LA (AMC Universal): 1.662 (26 showtimes)

Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 5.716.

Up 14.5% since yesterday (I calculated with/hoped for 15% so almost in line with expectations). 25 showtimes were added since yesterday which is a lot so close to the release date (I mean the official first full day).
Comps: BoP's (9M true Friday) final presales number for Friday was 1.664 = the jump since yesterday is in line with expectations so still around 40M true Friday for The Batman.
Eternals (21.2M) had on Tuesday of its release week 3.138 sold tickets = x1.82 = 38.6M.

SC (20.8M) had on Tuesday of its release week 2.672 sold tickets = x2.14 = 44.6M.
And TSS (8.0M) had also on Tuesday of its release week 1.089 sold tickets = x5.25 = 42M.

Nice day, it improved in all comps!

PS: Sorry for being so late. And I'm not sure if I can count tomorrow (of course enough people are busy here anyway ;)). O
n Thursday I count for sure again.

As of 3:20 PM MST, the theater I track in Salt Lake has sold as many tickets for preview night, 36, as it did all day yesterday. New high for the cycle incoming and by a very large margin. 🔥🦇

Friday and Saturday weren't working for NWH on this day, so no comps there. Drafthouse is giving Batman a ton of showings, pretty much equivalent to NWH at this point. Definitely will be an overperformance here

Found out that Regal Delta Shores is having an extra "Fan First" screening... tomorrow, which is why I hadn't caught it on my filters I had set up for Wed.

BUT it "only" had 113 tickets sold as of a few minutes ago, so even if I added 100 tickets to my comp last night, that'd only move up the Eternals and Black Widow comps up by .31m and .3m, respectively.  So not exactly a huge jump at all.

No real clue when Delta Shores added it, so much like when I discovered Shang-Chi had a last minute Fan Fest showing locally, just gonna add it to tonight's totals.

(It's also only at around 50% sold right now compared to the 75% to 95% sold for the other Wed shows in town so I highly doubt it's been up for that long, so I ain't too worried about backward pace compatibility)

Thats pretty common here in India. The more in demand a movie the more the theatres charge for it. And theatres continually adjust prices depending on demand (particularly during OW for a huge movie).

Deadline saying $40m presales for Thursday/Friday.

This is not possibly true based on what we can see, somebody got their wires mixed somewhere. Maybe they were told that there were enough presales for a 40M OD to be locked?

As I just said in the main OW thread, Cinemark's been rolling out variable pricing on the down-low in the Sacto area since around last Nov for OW movies.  Some higher than others.

We had a bit of discussion about it when I noticed it last year, and it looks like the trend is starting to breakthrough into mainstream attention.

Deadline has NEVER been wrong, ever. Even when it was Nikki Finke. 😎
