Most Anticipated 2018 Summer Blockbuster:

  1. Avengers: Infinity War (April 27)
  2. Deadpool 2 (May 18)
  3. Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25)
  4. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (June 22)
  5. Incredibles 2 (June 15)

2018 isn't too bad but Solo being the customary flop in the list.

Who had seen the TV spot of Liam Neeson new film "Memory"?

The film will open wide in next Friday, but I had only seen the TV spots in Cartoon Network (Adult Swim programming block).

But it doesn't seems like the film is a total dump; Liam Neeson is doing publicity for this film.

Yeah it's a Martin Campbell movie so I'm actually slightly looking forward to that one. Hope it can be on the level on the Jaume Collet Serra-Liam Neeson efforts

Nobody in the world remembers Blacklight, let alone fact it opened this Feb to 3.5m so Memory will be roughly the same. Also the same range as Jan 2021's The Marksman (3.1m) and Oct 2020's Honest Thief (3.6m). Campbell directed The Protege (no Neeson) which opened to 2.9m in Aug 2021

Yeah Neeson has screwed himself with all the Post-Jaume Collet Serra action vehicles he's done. Like 5 different generic movies from bad distributors. Just complete dumps, whereas some of his previous ones in the mid 2010s were mini-events honestly.

It's kind of insane how post Taken, he had a decent amount of action hits (yeah A-Team and Battleship flopped but those were bad IP)

April 2020: Clash of the Titans- 163.2m (61.2m OW)

Feb 2011: Unknown- 63.6m (21.8m OW)

Jan 2012: The Gray- 51.5m (19.6m OW)

Oct 2012: Taken 2- 139.8m (49.5m OW)

Feb 2014: Non-Stop- 91.7m (28.8m OW)

Sept 2014: Walk Among Tombstones- 26m (12.7m OW)

Jan 2015: Taken 3- 89.2m (39.2m OW)

March 2015: Run All Night- 26.4m (11m OW)

Jan 2018: The Commuter- 36.3m (13.7m OW)

Feb 2019: Cold Pursuit- 32.1m (11m OW)

Walk Among Tombstones is when it ended (Million Ways To Die in the West that summer didn't help), but still a nice little burst. I mean, 90m for Non-Stop alone is crazy. And even then, he still opened in the double digits late 2010s

Yeah exactly. And some of those like Nonstop and The Commuter did very well internationally true, so I think he was a worldwide draw for a bit.

He needed to be more selective. Shit like Honest Thief, The Marksman, Ice Road, and Blacklight all back to back to back was just too much straight to VOD vibes with shit distributors

An hour and these already dropped except Bad Guys lol

-Northman- 75% Verified Score 3.9/5 Av. Score

-Massive Talent- 88% Verified Score, Less than 50 votes, 4.3/5 Av. Score

-Bad Guys- 94% Verified Score, 4.5/6 Av. Score

Is Northman really on track for lower Cinemascore than Green Knight's C+?

Massive Talent is probably a B (maybe B+)

Whats does Northman do that creates friction with general audiences?

EDIT: The northman topic says it probably has to do with someone the titular northman kills, surprised thats causing problems for an r-rated viking movie

In fairness to Charlie, he's younger and Top Gun wasn't exactly a big thing internationally in the 80's, but in the United States it's legit mainstream nostalgia.  Americans have also always been fascinated with military jets and pilots in general.
