Open to comp suggestions for any of these.  I have never heard of, nor seen trailers for any of them.

I guess for "Breaking" you can use some other Bleecker Street films that came out this year like "Infinite Storm" and "Mrs.Malcolm List" as they were all distributed by them and probably selling to a similar amount.

The Invitation had today 96 sold tickets for Thursday (with showtimes in 6 theaters).
Comps (both counted on Monday for Thursday): The Forever Purge had 104 sold tickets
and Beast had 147 sold tickets.

And for Friday The Invitation had today 87 sold tickets (again in 6 theaters).
Comps (all 4 counted on Monday for Friday): Malignant had 100 sold tickets in 6 theaters,
The Night House had 24 sold tickets in 5 theaters,
Old had 150 sold tickets in 7 theaters
and Beast had 111 sold tickets, also in 7 theaters.
Ready or Not had on Wednesday 186 sold tickets.
Let's see. If The Invitation has nice jumps in the next few days double digits could happen.

Three Thousand Years of Longing had today 128 sold tickets for Thursday (in 5 theaters).
Comps: Cyrano had 87 sold tickets on Thursday for Thursday (= final counting),

The Lost City had on Monday for Thursday 306 sold tickets

and Mr. Malcolm's List had 14 sold tickets in 4 theaters.

For Friday it had today 94 sold tickets (again with showtimes in 5 theaters).
Comps: Reminiscence (HBO Max) had on the same day 119 sold tickets,

The Lost City had 196 sold tickets (but very good jumps till Thursday)

and Mr. Malcolm's List had 17 sold tickets in 4 theaters.
Cyrano had on Thursday for Friday 104 sold tickets.
Well, that's not totally bad but I also don't expect big walk-ups.

Breaking plays no role in my theaters. It gets only showtimes in 2 of the 7 theaters and had today 8 and 15 sold tickets for Thursday respectively Friday.

Yeah, this isn't looking like a breakout. Dolbys are also largely being given to 3000 Years too, so that makes things even worse.

Oh it's Fri, nevermind then, flop one.

I'll be honest with you, I'm not even sure how many locations R1 is playing at.  We have three IMAX screens locally (two Regal FauxIMAX and one indie TrueIMAX) and only the independent TrueIMAX theater is playing it.

(Sold a little over 100 tickets combined for the three Friday showings so far)

EDITED:

Come to think of it, and after re-reading Eric's post, I'm not even sure Regal is gonna get it, as the R1 re-release isn't listed anywhere on Regal's website.

As I check, the IMAX screen is already booked for this coming Friday for the Regal closest to me though the one in El Dorado Hills is still empty, so who knows.

Rogue One Re-Release Friday

AMC: 11555 sold

Cinemark: 904 sold

Megaplex: 754 sold

Counted this yesterday just out of curiosity since it's a small enough release that I could get most of it. Might as well post it I guess. Not 100% sure if I got all the AMC theaters, but should be close enough if I didn't.

Spider-man: No Way Home (more fun stuff) has more tix sold in half hour than Invitation and 3000 years of Longing combined in Harkins.

So that’s like what, 7 tickets? ;)

Honestly, we're entering a bit of post-pandemic uncharted territory this week with the new major releases: Both essentially non-IPs, a PG-13 horror film, and an adult drama (sans day & date streaming) that will likely skew older and probably to women also. So yeah ...

Might want to add Escape Room 2 and Candyman to Invitation, and for 3K Years, honestly not much to choose from - maybe Stillwater? Roadrunner? A lot of the dramas either didn't even have previews because of D&D or were too low to report so maybe just grab any title that finished say under 300 in sales to get some sense of the range

Will add a general note here: while Thursday numbers look pretty weak, we're clearly in back to school territory, so expecting some easily double digit IMs for both of these: Candyman was 11.9x on same weekend last year, so a PG-13 non-IP should be even higher, and older-skewing Beast hit a 12.5x this past weekend, so 3K could leg out even more

AMC subscribers using their 3x/week movie subscriptions...Cinemark folks likely already used their 1x/month...unless you have tons of AMCs and fewer of the other 2 in your numbers...
