Fwiw, just want note that despite the hot start, I’m still more on the ~$20M range (and like $120-$130 3-day) than low $20s I’ve seen other put down. The potential is there to go higher, but its still a mostly normal Thursday, won’t have the benefit of a July or pre-Vet day walk-up bump like the L&T and BPWF comps (but may push comp value higher before then with the longer sales window)

Up 45% since Monday. That sounds better than it is. For two days and on a rather low level, that's not really good.
Comps (both counted on Wednesday for Friday): Crawdads (17.3M) had 212 sold tickets,
and The Invitation (6.8M) had 167 sold tickets.
Tomorrow I have more comps.
 

The numbers are still ok but I thought it would have better jumps. I see that it has pretty good reviews so hopefully I can report on bigger jumps tomorrow.
 

Alice, Darling had today only showtimes in 2 of my AMC theaters (AMC Grand Rapids and AMC Metreon). 15 sold tickets were sold for Thursday and 14 for Friday. In line with other films with a (very) limited release.

And here, I see the numbers and think $16M b/c Thor seems like the most on point comparison, and it seems that's where all the presales overall gather:)...

PS ratios always exaggerate the final ratios. I.e. Thor doing 29M after first day suggesting low 20s against MoM, BP doing 28 after first day suggesting low 20s against Thor. BW did 13.2 and its presales start was not even in the same ballpark as Quantumania.

For me, around 2.0x the first week, maybe a bit lower. So $125/$175/$340 or so, good for genre, but OWeek will be inflated by holiday and enough competition - particularly Shazam in week 5 - that I don’t see it getting to the 2.1-2.2x very good range

Im usings less theatres in Calgary than my previous count for Avatar, but seeing this whole thing an organic process (and with my busyness these days), Im wanting to do keep around 3-4 shows for at least the first round, until I get get more time to be doing more shows per area. To make up for that, I am thinking about after every West-east run, Im willing to do a summary of total seats sold and average out a percentage for all theatres for that cycle. Be kind of interesting to see a "heres a snapshot of how Canada is looking at overall seats sold/percentage" type of thing.

I think 20m+ previews is on cards with this start. Let us see how things go after few days. Only MCU movie which did not do that after a good start with Eternals. Otherwise they have had a consistent pattern.

So I've been thinking about this comment for a little while, and I was going to respond, but realizing it could be read a couple of different ways. Are you just noting the higher variance in Day 1/2/3 sales - so as not to focus on pinpoint comps - or something else, with the pattern of lower initial comps/higher finish?
