So about $9.5-9.8M for NWH this weekend. Super Bowl weekend FS should only drop 10-15% from this weekend, while SB Sunday will probably half of this Sunday so maybe $7-7.5M next weekend?

If it hits 7.5M next weekend, Avatar will be probably down by that Sunday or on Valentine's Monday definitely.

It's good to see something that isn't a superhero movie or CGI extravaganza make decent coin. Still, we need more variety. Hopefully Jackass numbers are a good sign for that.

I also like how this weekend was essentially "how to do dumb mindless entertainment right vs wrong" with the Jackass crew doing what they do best and Emmerich managing to disappoint people agian.

And No Way Home is a total beast, the lack of competition is driving it to better late legs than any other comic book film I can think of.

Some insane holds across the board even with actual new movies arriving. Licorice Pizza and West Side Story seem well-positioned to take advantage of the Oscar bumps they're going to see starting Tuesday (as the only contenders that are still theater-exclusive).

Just now, EmpireCity said:

Licorice Pizza is expanding to 2,000 theaters next week.

Perfect timing, it'll have no problem landing in the $21-26M range of Phantom Thread/Magnolia/Boogie Nights within PTA's filmography with a month-and-a-half until the ceremony.
