This just really boosted the profile for Drive My Car. Anyone know what its release plans are so far? It's only playing at one theater even remotely close to me and as far as I know doesn't have a streaming release date yet.

Damn. While I'll be the first to admit that I was really disconnected from the awards scene this year (saw most of the movies, but barely followed the precursors), that Nightmare Alley Best Picture nod is a shock. I felt like that one was dead in the water for anything outside of some craft nominations.

 

I'm also very happy that Kristen Stewart made it in after all.

Also Don't Look Up getting as much love as it did proves that Adam McKay is an inexplicably powerful force over the industry and he must be stopped.

Belle not getting a Nomination was disappointing, but Drive My Car's nomination has lifted up my emotions 😭😭😭😭

Big day for Disney between two Best Picture nominees (West Side Story, Nightmare Alley) + their three animated movies along with Cruella and The Eyes of Tammy Faye picking up nominations. Maybe ABC won't breathe down the necks of the producers to make the most overdone show possible like they have these past few years lol.

10 nominations for Dune, my boy Andrew getting love, Kristen Stewart beating all odds and Nightmare Alley getting a Best Picture nomination makes me a very happy young man.

I don't know what the release plan is, but do watch Drive My Car if it comes to your area. Its Best Picture nomination is well-deserved, with an utterly phenomenal climax that still gives me chills.

If my count is correct, power of dog is the most nominated film with 11, followed by dune at 10. I guess Netflix may really have their first win
