I was hoping this would reach $3M but at the very least, I commend this film for exceeding people’s expectations and outgrossing the other exceptional ‘T’ films, Tár and Triangle of Sadness. Till is going to have more staying power in multiplexes than the other films due to its success this weekend and that would never not help its future grosses.

I didnt realize halloween parties would hurt the box office this bad but maybe that means better holds next week?

Yes. Halloween parties, spooky events, family gatherings, etc - they ramp up as the holiday approaches, and have a time limit/expiration date, while the movies do not. Halloween is the second most celebrated holiday season in US, behind the only the Christmas juggernaut (both pre buying season depression and post-holiday family outings boon)

Kinda feels like UA rushed the wide expansion of Till a bit, this weekend rather than next, perhaps not wanting to compete with their other title (Bones and All) for screens, set to go wide for Thanksgiving

To me, would have been better to go to like mid hundreds (500-800) for this depressed weekend, then gone full wide next weekend when there is no typical 1st November weekend tentpole.

Terrifier 2 did great. Slight increase from last weekend, while other horror like Smile and Barbarian dropped somewhat a litle hard. Ends collapsed once AGAIN.

Terrifier 2 performing like a nova compared to the other horror movie stars this years in terms of overperformance. Really curious how they will handle Terrifier 3 in terms of theater release and how much it will make.

It must have been first Halloween with everything open after covid closures these past 2 years, only way to explain the bigger than expected drops.

Ends maybe takes a relatively wee drop on Monday with it being Halloween, but considering Kills barely made another 7 million after this point, this film will scrape it to no more than 65 million.

Not a tragic total, but only 25 million after the 40 million opening weekend? Wow.

I get that this was a bizarre sequel, but at least it wrapped the story up conclusively.

Kills was a royal rumble style mess that really crapped on the good work done in Halloween 2018.

Anyway, here's to the requel in 2028. Curtis will only be 70 - she ain't done with this series yet!

Barely getting 10 movies over 1M. Theaters truly are in the trash.

This will be the first sub-$500M domestic grossing October (excluding pandemic year) since ... 2001
