They could have since other studios have done it before including Disney but in this case, I don't think it really matters to them so they left it alone.

The Dark Alfred
Back to the mediocre weekdays for A2. It had a grerat weekend opposed to JW and will be passing 600m tomorrow. The 700m dream is gone but should overtake JW easily. JW has a slender 12m lead and hoping that A2 collapses after losing PLF screens, but given its epic Saturday increases, that is unlikely. JURAWATER SHOWDOWN - AVATAR 2 VS JURASSIC WORLD DAY 39: (MONDAY) AVATAR 1.58m DAY 39: (MONDAY) JURASSIC WORLD 1.37m WATER TEMP: HOT (+0.21m) CUME: AVATAR 599.99m VS JW 612.60m SEA LEVEL: MINUS 12.61m WATER FLOW: 657m
corngrower87
TGM shaved between $4.75 and $4.8 million off of Avatar’s lead. The weekdays are looking to shave at least another $1 million each day this week. At this point, I simply don’t see it getting to $700 million, let alone catching TGM. Avatar’s run has been great, far better than I thought it would be back in December.
