For Liongates that could be a 40m movie with Uk-Domestic and couple of others market and one co-financed.

Seem to have been around that mark, if not a bit cheaper:

Not necessarily, and at a $100M-plus production cost, 65% of which is funded by foreign sales, with another $20M+ in German tax credits, the Lionsgate Francis Lawrence-directed movie is structured completely differently financially than the $200M The Marvels.

Deadline: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes ultimately did cross the $100M mark in its global debut. With actuals now counted, the launch came in a bit higher versus Sunday’s estimates, notably at the international box office. The worldwide total through the opening frame is $100.8M, including $44.6M domestically and $56.2M from 87 overseas markets.

The Top 10 offshore were the UK ($6.7M/No. 1), Germany ($5.1M/No. 1), China ($4.6M/No. 3), France ($4.2M/No. 1), Mexico ($3.7M/No. 1), Australia ($3.6M/No. 1), Brazil ($3.2M/No. 1), Italy ($2.6M/No. 2), Spain ($2M/No. 1) and Netherlands ($1.7M/No. 1).

Any chance this legs out to $400m worldwide or close, considering the lack of competition until Wonka mid-December?

No chance. $200m now, and it will be a bit of a fight to get to $300m. It has another $45m DOM but its OS drop wasn't great.

International box office is a little disappointing. Hope it can get to 300m ww

The thanksgiving weekend boosted BO in NA, something that didn't help the overseas markets.

Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes slurped up a further $14.9M overseas, lifting international to $122.7M and global to $243.9M (after crossing the century and double century marks earlier in the week).

Tops to date are the UK ($16.2M), Germany ($10.9M), France ($9.4M), Australia ($9.3M) and Mexico ($8.7M).
