When Trump rose to power, there was an article about what the alternate reality version would be for a lib celebrity rising to political power. 
They picked Penn. I think it really fit. 
I have very similar politics to the guy but he wraps it in an obnoxious package and is a trash human being.

The invasion of privacy with AI deepfakes and body scans is extremely concerning and I don't think anyone's equipped yet for the legal/criminal/moral questions they're gonna be raising in the near future.

 

What he's talking about is already happening online with celebrities being deepfaked into pornography against their consent and knowledge, Penn's just asking execs how they'd like it to happen to them.

I think Sean Penn is a creep and terrible person, but I think more people need to point out the creepy AI shit, too, because that's the only way you get legislation in that realm these days.

Nah, this was the better route, for the same reason SAG is granting all those other exemptions. Only one studio was gonna benefit from it regardless, and she'd probably go outside the system eventually anyway. Indeed I'd prefer knowing she did rather than try to persuade AMPTP to get in bed with her. 

 

Remember that WGA / SAG aren't out to squeeze exhibitors, they'd prefer that AMC and Cinemark stay on their side or at least neutral.

Penn went much,much further to the left then standard liberalsim.

The guy used elon as his previous profile pic. That should say what his stance on Ukraine is.

 

Considering Penn spent time with the president of Ukraine the day before and the next few days following the start of the invasion.... We should at least give him props for that.
