I'm glad the strike is ending but as someone who works in government this made me laugh my ass off. IYKYK

Lol well true but fortunately government bureaucracy can't be beat. I mean in that they're no longer negotiating over the actual positions, just literally writing out the verbage of the contract, so they don't need to negotiate anymore

I think the SAG AFTRA strike will be done and dusted in October if not November.

I suspect Dune will stay in March and WB will focus on having Timmy do promo for Wonka in December.

Oh I don't think anything's going to be un-delayed. Those aren't easy decisions to reverse. If anything id expect more announcements of delays now that things won't be in a holding pattern for long

I would imagine a few tweaks here and there but nothing too dramatic, Captain America I think will move up since it was already done and dusted before the strikes and they'll move Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes from May to late July.

WB I think will move either Mickey 17 from March to either July or August with Juror Number 2 which I think can be done fairly quickly to either Beetlejuice 2's September slot or late October.

As a lawyer that writes contracts, crafting the language still takes of time. It could take a week or more to get it ironed out.

UPDATED: The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers sent the Writers Guild of America its best and final offer on Saturday afternoon after four days of intense negotiations to secure a new three-year contract and bring the nearly five-month writers strike to an end.

Industry sources report that a last, best and final offer was sent to WGA negotiators around 5 p.m. PT. Legal representatives for labor and management huddled Saturday in person at AMPTP headquarters in Sherman Oaks. Other key players on both sides monitored events closely but from afar.

Well if that is true, the story takes a bit of an adversarial turn, and Empire was very wrong lol

Either this is just dramatic posturing for the press, or we are screwed again.

(if only for the "studios really can't help themselves in regards to negotiating through the press")
