Wakanda Forever had good WOM in domestic.

It was bad performer oversees.

I don't think it had bad WOM OS. OS simply wasn't interested.

I always thought WF's WOM was overstated. The WOM actually wasn't that great.

Yep. It had more buzz when trailer came out unlike Vol 3 that had crap trailer. But once the movies were seen, WF didn't set the fandom on fire while Vol 3 did.

I would say easily. Yeah they both had the same Cinemascore but other metrics aren't really close.

The WF WOM was good-great.

The GotG3 WOM is GREAT

Agree and also it’s a lot about the difference between the two films moods. Wakanda Forever is beautiful and one of the Phase 4 highlights definitely, but it was almost a wake in a shape of a film for both T’Challa and Chadwick. Guardians deals with very dark subjects, but it doesn’t have such a towering somber feel to it like WF inherently always would be. I’m very thankful that Coogler and his team delivered with the film, and I need more Namor ASAP, hopefully by an up and coming Mexican director or hell, give me Del Toro’s Namor.

So it missed beating Vol 2’s first Thursday by…$102. That’s like 10 tickets. Crazy.

Probably could be 6 tickets due to IMAX ticket pricing ranging up to $18+.

Rag Th is inflated by Vet Eve and the Fri is bigly inflated by Veteran’s. Gotg will move back ahead on Sat and start decisively outpacing next Th/Fri.

Was wondering why that second weekend for Thor was so weird.
