ringedmortality
It's interesting they're going for stars this time around. Pratt was cast before Guardians released and Howard was never much of a star. It's like they're doing the polar opposite for this one, getting an established director as opposed to plucking some Sundance rando.
filmlover
Powell turning this down for Edgar Wright's The Running Man seems like a good career move personally tbh, he was already on the fast track to becoming typecast so the chance to work with fairly respected filmmakers instead of grabbing easy paychecks hopping from franchise to franchise sounds like a smart idea, at least in theory. Yep Something tells me if he had not done Twisters he might have taken this. If the buzz is true about his role in that and the good buzz he is getting for Hitman it would just be running in place for him at this point. I feel like it tracks with his career choices? He's had a relationship with Linklater for a while, Top Gun: Maverick was coming from respected filmmakers, and Twisters is directed by an Oscar nominee. Even Anyone But You was an inspired choice considering the unwillingness of actors to be in romcoms like that anymore.

Maybe (he's also reportedly working on a currently undisclosed project with Ryan Murphy, having previously collaborated on Scream Queens), though he did sign on for a Butch Cassidy TV adaptation opposite Rege-Jean Page almost two years back that didn't sound like it would amount to much of anything if it happened (which it doesn't seem like it will at this point). Hatebox
Edwards is a competent enough director that feels like a final test of whether a Jurassic Park sequel is at all capable of not sucking, or if the setup just makes it fundamentally impossible for follow-ups to good Edited April 13 by Hatebox

Even Michael Cruichton half assed it when it came time to write the sequel.
poweranimals
The first Jurassic World was also really enjoyable. Other than that though, I can't really say they've done a good job with the sequels.

Also the guy from Bridgerton, one of the biggest shows on the biggest streaming service in the world? Definitely too talented to be playing the human anchor to dinosaur chaos. Oh goddamnit But whatever increases the attention for Fellow Travelers is nothing but a good thing! Also Colman Domingo looking to be kept booked and busy post-Oscar nom, also nothing but a positive.
Noctis
Jonathan Bailey? Fantastic. Never watched Bridgerton nor does it hold any sort of appeal to me, but he's a great actor. Edited April 16 by Noctis
kayumanggi
This is actually good casting. Let's hope the movie is also good. I trust Edwards, but I still have doubts because of this being rushed.
