So IO2 won't pass Barbie atp. DM4 did hurt quite a bit. But overall excellent.

If it follows Incredibles 2's run at the same point in time, it gets to 650M. Not impossible to still beat Barbie IMO

He was the biggest male draw to have starred in the MCU. No other actor had as much success as him.  The GA love him

No, the GA loves the franchises he stars in.

If it followed TS4 run from here, IO2 is still passing Barbie at 644m.

Yeah, I would definitely say next week is the end of the line for Bad Boys

Really thought summer weekdays would help it get to 200 DOM. Oh well still pretty good all things considered with the Smith factor possibly turning a small segment of the audience off and the 4 year gap this time not 17 blunting some of the anticipation.

Mexico and UK numbers are decent. Not so much everywhere else. Not sure what is going on overseas. The original Twister was a hit overseas so it can’t just be the “tornado” aspect. Might  have been better actually if it had come out overseas after articles about the domestic breakout

With Twisters opening so big, a decent hold and Deadpool opening on the higher end of predictions might be enough for next weekend to be the second highest grossing weekend post pandemic, if it can pass the opening weekend of $281.6M of NWH.

What's remarkable is that of the 100 highest grossing weekends at the box office, only 9 have come post-pandemic.

Maybe it was the push for yeehaw cowboy shit and country music in the trailers and ads? Like you look at the trailer for the original Twister, and it's no different from the advertising for something like Independence Day. I can't imagine Luke Combs being that big in non-English territories.

I forgot it got released last year  but still a good result it likley made a small profit

Little Mermaid was likely too expensive, so it's pretty unlikely it could make a profit (maybe with merchandise sales).

It just wasn't a terrible bomb as Wish or The Marvels.

Great domestic opening for Twisters - glad Powell has another big hit under his belt. Still a pity he turned down Jurassic World, though! That would have catapulted him into the stratosphere but whatever...hope he lands a huge role soon. With the back to back hits of Anyone But You and now Twisters, he'll be receiving lots of offers for sure.

OS results are really quite bad, though. I'm not sure what markets it has left (maybe SK and Japan) but it'll end up being the weakest performing big budget film of the summer right alongside Furiosa. It won't do more than $130m IMO.

One the great 90s blockbuster trailers. Showing producers of Jurassic Park and director of Speed just hammers the this is an event home.
