SPECTRE | 11/6/15 | Final Trailer on Page 126! | Twitter reactions coming in, STID 2.0?

This is Sony though (for the time being).

Wonder if the Bond rights will remain with Sony or move to WB to join literally every other MGM property.

Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli hold control over the rights to the Bond franchise.  They could move to a different studio if the deal was lucrative enough.  Staying with Sony is up in the air with Amy Pascal's ousting.

Yep, Bond was never Sony's IP.

It s in the hands of those two families since 1962.

Sony "just" distributes and promotes the franchise, probably finances it too but the IP is still not theirs.

But Skyfall BO numbers look good on a shareholder conference.

Something felt off with that trailer. Dialogue seems funky. Visuals look very good.

Well, the editing is off, it really seems to be put together at night with Mendes on cafeine.

I can't believe they shot the movie this late still, Bond movies have lots of CGI stuff now.

Man, Mendes knows his shit cinematography wise, except for his "little romantic comedy", he has worked with the most legendary cinematographer for his first two films, Conrad L.Hall, giving him two Oscars in his late career ( posthumous for Road to Perdition), then he switched to legend Deakins (Jarhead, Revolutionnary Road, Skyfall) and now he s working with one of the most promising one in the field, discovered in Hollywood by David O Russell for the Fighter.

He ll do something with Lubezki one day if Inarritu & Cuaron allow him to.

Casino Royale is still the best recent James Bond movie.

Skyfall was boring and had one of the worst villain ever. It had a few nice shots, that's all.

QoS...

This one doesn't look very promising either.

Pretty much this. Skyfall was way overrated and Spectre looks like Bond from the seventies. Good thing this is Mendes' last one. I hope.

Seriously, they need to either ensure no one asks that question (fat chance) or just come out and say it. It makes no sense to have the iconic villain of your series and then not advertise his involvement.

The problem (and the difference between this and STID) is that Oberhauser here has a way more evolutionary arc:

ACTUAL SPOILERS

He is introduced to us as Franz Oberhauser because he

is Franz Oberhauser, that's who he thinks of himself as. He has no idea (or purposefully forgotten-traumatic childhood and all) that he is Blofeld, Bond is the one who drops the bomb, after Oberhauser's 'cuckoo' spiel about how bond was brought into his 'family', instead of Oberhauser being like "my name is Blofeld", that's subverted by Bond basically going "oh I remember you now but you were adopted, your real name is Blofeld", then Oberhauser becomes Blofeld by the end of the film not only in name - he gets the iconic scars (hence the CGI markers on Waltz's face in London set photos) too.
