I found that interesting as well, that from Thursday to 3rd Friday Spider-Man jumped that high with Attack of the Clones playing. It would be great if Avengers could do similar. But it seems like everyone is predicting it won't. :(

Clnes opened Thursday - Spiderman fell Thursday 17% http://boxofficemojo.com/daily/chart/?track=spiderman.htm&sortdate=2002-05-16&p=.htmFriday it rebounded

6.6m wed.6.2m thur.54m we530m-560m total

Welcome to BO.comIt's impossible for this to be in your range. Absolutely 100% impossible. If it is at 460 mill minimum after this weekend, and it is guaranteed to do at least 75% of this weekends business, which you have as 54 mill, then that means after Memorial Weekend it will be at 500 mill based on a 40 mill 4 day weekend. So you think from there it won't even have a 2 multiplier from the 3 day weekend? I think you might want to recalculate your range again and start with 580.

I'd be very happy with that.

:oWow. I just looked at the "all time" World Wide numbers. With all that this movie (The Avengers) has done it is still BEHIND Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides which is number 8 all time world wide. Just wow. Amazing how that movie seems to be looked upon as disappointing but it has incredible numbers. Certainly seems to put things in perspective.

Who thought OST was disappointing? It's a billion dollar film.

Still Behind? It's only been out in the U.S. two weeks, lol. It is in the beginning of its run. Give Avengers time to adjust itself. OST didn't make that money over night.

Yea. Domestically it definitely disappointed. Overseas saved it. (Although, even overseas ticket sales weren't that impressive.)But, it made a ton of money. That's all Disney cares about in the end. Edited by ShawnMR
