Spider-man will probably win due to China, but in english-speaking markets, TDKR is going to obliterate it.Spider-man has always been very popular in the UK, but TDK made nearly £50m. SM's range is around £30m. Like the US, I think the fact this is a re-boot will negatively effect the gross, meaning I don't see much more than $50m happening here. If that.TDKR however could do in excess of $80m.In Australia, TASM will probably be lucky to do $20m, but TDKR could more than double that.

advance ticket sales don't mean much for films like this. Walk ups do. Avengers did not have spectacular pre sales either. There is still a chance Amazing Spider-Man can beat The Dark Knight Rises overseas. It will b e close

That is pathetic. The Avengers had spectacular IMAX pre-sales. The strongest I've seen bar DH2.

I hope TDKR wins. It will absolutely destroy TASM in the UK and Australia at least.

Wrong, Spidey will destroy Batman OS. Batman has nothing to prove, they could show nothing of the movie, it would still make tons of presales, the marketing is in full gear for Spidey and buzz is rising.
